This week (3rd week of October) I received a nice letter from Maria, Clairvoyant & Astrologer, about borrowing the 'Magic Hand of Toth' for either half a year or a whole year. I did the standard search of Google, but found no trace of "Maria" or of the "Magic Hand of Toth." So, I checked out the Astrocat Board, but could find no reference to this offer.
Yes, I would like to benefit from placing a piece of paper with a wish on it between the thumb and forefinger of the carved wooden hand of Toth. But, it could all be a scam, and I might be thinking wishfully. Has anyone else had an offer from Maria to let them borrow a good copy of the original carved hand? It's an exciting story, mentioning Rennes-le-Chateau and Father Berenger Saunier: he's the French priest who made a lot of money mysteriously; yes, the story goes that he had a copy of Toth's hand.
So, before sending off any money, I ask whether anyone else has been approached, or knows of this particular Maria's past history. The letter is postmarked Budapest [!!!?], and the reply envelope goes to Maria, Postbox 58380, 1040 HJ Amsterdam. Thanks, Robin

Robin, Do not believe a word she says. They are all part of chain of scam artists who says anything to get your money. They hide behind a P.O. Box, often in a different country. I have been a victim of these scam artists on more then 20 occasions. Till now i have not won the lottery or became rich. Please, do not send any money or you will regret it. good luck.

Robin, the Myth of the priest dying a rich man is precisely that, a myth. I have a link to websites exposing the con. Search on Google, Maria Duval has been promising wealth, and conning the desperate for more than twenty years. The PO Box address in Holland is just a room full of letterboxes. Money sent to Maria is money wasted.
Hand of Toth? Load of Tosh!

If you want an example of how good these Clairvoyants are, consider this: they seem to be having great difficulty in noting the fact that my mother died in February, some 8 months ago; even after I have returned their letters, unopened, marked as "addressee deceased".
