"My dear E_____, I am delighted to send you my best wishes for your birthday."
This is the beginning of a scam mailing received by the executor of a late friend of mine. So begins the long preamble to the order form for the Personalised Cosmic Dossier and the GIFT of the Magic Formula. E______ is said to be 'Deserving' of Happiness (Wealth) on her birthday. A payment of £27(add £3 for priority despatch) is required, not the £42 which is the regular charge, for the postage costs, and the "preparation and research you have conducted on my behalf."
There is no entry on Google about the address on the reply envelope: Rebecca c/o People Tech Apartado 7111 (Apartado=accommodation address=PO Box) EC - Reboleira 2721 - 601 Amadora Portugal
The whole package was mailed from Switzerland, by CC International of Zurich Mulligen.

Hmmm...the only Rebecca I have logged is (was) part of Kalistea, CP 702, CH 1214. Last delivery from them my ex-mother had was return undelivered CP 1025, CH1240, Geneve 65. Postage paid: CH1211, Geneve 2, SPIF 106
Most recent delivery by CH-8010 ZUrich Mulligen was for David Phild ("One of the World's Greatest Names in Clairvoyance" [sic]) - arriving today for my mother:
``Dear --------, the Great Wizards of Time came to talk to me at great length about you last night. They have thoroughly reviewed your situation and have revealed to me your SIX EXCEPTIONAL DAZZLING DATES!...
``I have seen you cash a large (very large) check [sic]..''
That is so nice of them to "thoroughly" review my mother's situation: deceased since 11 February 2004. ("He" hasn't moved "from" Rue de Lyon, CP184, CH 1211 Geneve 13.)
----------------------------
It would be nice that if they're going to scam English people, they could at least get the correct spelling (and grammar) in their letters - things that can easily be verified - before they claim they can see other, emperically unverifiable, things: it rather undermines their abilities...if only people would stop and think.

Another scam mailing from Rebecca has arrived. This time it's the Secret Manuscript of your Cycle of Light and LUCK, for £22, but the main bait is the sum of £153,800 which is offered as a tempting possible reward for sending the money. The money won't be sent.
