Eva Lorca is a trade name used by a mailing company. It is very unlikely that a person of that name exists, even if they do, they won't be able to make you wealthy. You can help them to become wealthy, just send them money.
You should register with the Mailing Preference Service, it will cut down on the number of scam mailings that you get. It is usually easy to recognise the letters without opening them. Send them back, marked Gone Away-- Return to sender. It costs them money and they will give up on you. If you have sent any money, ask for a refund on the grounds of unsatisfactory goods or services.

Hi, Can anyone tell me if Vitamail (based in Bedford) are using postal scams by promising a big prize cheque to secure orders for Homeopathic provisions. I have been inundated with letters from at least three other companies (one TV Direct Distribution) who promise cheques for prize draws. I foolishly ordered some goods but soon realised they were making false promises and now take your advice and return the mail to them. I feel that if Vitamail is also using these scams then they should be added to the list for warnings to the public.

i have just got a letter from maria duval saying if i send $80nz she can help me win at least $28500 by revealing to me the Powerful secret of I CHING is this just a crock or what. This post box was in New Zealand which is where I'm from I think it was linked to Maria Callas whom I sent away for a free clairvoyant reading which I never got, yet I got her saying she can help me for a cost of variable amounts. these people should be stopped.

Maria Duval = Maria Callas = You lose your money.
Put in for a refund, and make a complaint to your local consumer protection office. Return any mailings you get from anyone who says that they can make you wealthy or happy, if you send them some money.

I am based in Australia and have in the last week and a half received scam letters from Zholtan from Austria, Vinci from Lausanne, Chrystal from Geneva and Mikael C/- Esoteric. All of these are scams and will take amounts from $150 to $448 from the unwary.

Hi all,
Afriend of mine has also got a scam letter from VINCI in Lusanne wherever that is. He has been on the "SUCKER" list for so long he believes anything that comes along. Among other offers he recieves mail from are, "Miss Elizabeth", "Anthony Carr" and others Im sure that they are as phoney baloney artists as the rest.
I think that ASTROCAT's Postal Scam Warning page should be posted in lots of obvious places on the net as this is a very valuable site to warn of unscrupulous perveyors of trash that is not worth the paper it's printed on. Thats why i give a big rond of applause to ASTROCAT's site!!! Great job and keep up the good work!!!

Ah yes, Carol Mason, daughter of Sophia Mason, aka Sophia Monrow. It's true there is a website for this name, owned until recently, and perhaps still is, by a mail marketing company. I don't believe that she can help you.
People have problems, and a little money. The scammers know this, and are expert at convincing you that they have the solution. As long as YOU help make THEM rich, they will keep up the pretence, but as so many have found, they can't, and don't, help.
Remember, the Good Samaritan did not make a charge for the help he gave.

Hi Cindy
Like you I'm being inundated with Vitamail letters about large checks. I have ordered from them and have received the orders but I'm still getting further requests for orders in order to receive my cheque. Have any other people been getting the same. I'm now beginning to think this is a scam and am trying to find out from Trading Standards

Vitamail - arrived for my deceased mother last Nov; return address on envelope: 9 Trident Way (HQ 13270), internal envelope to MK41 9XP - Padeol (MK41 9JW, but suspect that MK41 9xx in Bedford is all their PO Boxes?), as used by Eva Du Maurier (Solen - 9XW), Solena (Maja - 9XW), Zoltana (Maja - 9XW), Angelvida (SL - 9XW), Evastrella (9XW), Laetitia de Lavallo (Golden Esoteric Society - 9XW), Mr Kuang C Wang jr (9WJ), Hanna Winter (9WJ)
There are also plenty of MK40 nxx post codes to PO Boxes in Bedford used by scammers which are also Padeol's.
Does Padeol have ANY non-scamming customers?

Just another thing: if you can find the rules and conditions of the prize, you'll probably find that what you have is not a promise that you have won (as implied in loose reading of the notice), but only the possibility that you've won (which is usualy only vaguely obvious after careful reading of the notice and careful consideration of double meanings); and that the closing date for the competition is probably in 2006.
The worst one in relation to health products my deceased mother has received came from Hipsos Labs - for a slimming product. In the small print (of the rules of the competition) is this wonderful disclaimer: "14. By the very nature of this commercial offer for which the user's belief in success is essential, the Laboratoires Hipsos are not bound to any guarantee of result..." Translated: "14. This product is an expensive placebo and if you believe you'll slim using it, you will slim..."
